If you follow us on Twitter or Facebook you would’ve had a little sneak peek of what we’ve been up to! Even though we are only half way through the week, it’s been such exciting one for us! We just wanted to say THANK YOU – to all the comments, retweets, favourited tweets, reblogs, instagram likes, etc. We read them all – our readers are the best, you’re all so sweet! See more of what we’ve been up to below:
As some of you may know, we were asked to appear on New Music Live with host Liz Trinnear to showcase some Hunger Games nail art! We got to Much Music headquarters bright & early Monday morning, ready to get started on our segment – here’s Danielle in make up (ooh la la), getting ready to film. P.S. we wish someone could do this do us everyday.
The crew was so great and we had such a good time shooting! Below is Danielle teaching Liz how we at Polish You Pretty would dress up our tips. Check back for Hunger Games Week on Much Music next week – we can’t wait to see what else they feature. Our tutorial will be posted right after the segment airs – we can’t wait to share. Here’s another shot of Team PYP arriving at the NKPR offices in Toronto for the Essie Weingarten Q&A yesterday. It was such an honour to be invited to this event – we thought we’d celebrate by getting our drink on!
The atmosphere at the event was beautiful – everything was thought out perfectly, even down to these exclusive Essie conversation hearts. Our two loves combined into one: candy + nail polish = how adorable? At the Q&A Essie revelaed her new Neon, Wedding, Summer & Metallic collections (swoon). We fell in love with this display (how could we not?) that showcased the 2012 Wedding Collection – these hit stores in April. A beautiful display for some seriously beautiful colours! Check back this week when we swatch some of these new collections for you!
Starstruck would be an understatement when describing how we felt seeing Essie Weingarten in the flesh (!!) – we even got to ask her a question about the upcoming collections! Her talk was so inspirational and it was clear that she puts her heart and soul into all of her work. She was sure to remind us that “if your nails are not done, you are not dressed” – we could not agree more! Let us know what you think of this little preview and what colours you’re most excited for. We know our minds are racing with nail art ideas for upcoming tutorials! Follow @EssieCanada to stay in the loop with all the World MasterCard Fashion Week nail art/colours.
