NAIL ART TUTORIAL: BLUE SKIES
The weather here in Canada has been uncharacteristically high, so we’ve been taking full advantage – taking long bike rides, getting our swim on (!) & catching some rays – thank you blue skies. Today’s tutorial is all about the gorgeous weather – ‘baby’s got blue skies up ahead’ thank you U2.
Step 1: After applying a base coat, we use CND Toughen Up, paint nails with 2 coats of Joe Fresh – Cobalt. We LOVE Joe Fresh nail polish. Their 3 for $10 pricing at a local grocery stores gets us every time – we own so many shades!
Step 2: Using a dotting tool & Sally Hansen Whirlwind White, begin painting your cloud shape. Create a perimeter and fill in the middle portion. We used a larger dotting tool for fluffy looking clouds. Switch up your placement so each cloud looks different.
Step 3: To add a little more to the design, use a small nail art brush in OPI – Onyx to create small “m” designs for birds flying in the sky. Seal in your design with a great top coat, we recommend Seche Vite dry fast top coat.
We love how these turned out – they were extremely easy & a good design to try for a beginner nail artist. What do you think of today’s clouds nail? Let us know what you think!
