NAIL ART TUTORIAL: PAMS AND KIN GET MARBLED
We can not even begin to express how much we love Pams & Kin – the brand + the girls behind it. Parris & Kiri hail from California (lucky) & have been popping up everywhere with their own brand of nail polishes & their amazing nail art skills – so if you don’t know, then you should defintely jump on board this train! Check out their Etsy shop here – it MUST be noted, their polishes all have song names – which instantly get stuck in your head after applying, they should really come with a disclaimer (We are still singing Karma Chamelelon).
We have seen a design popping up lately that we had to try – the ‘dry’ water marble using a needle/toothpick. After some research we can across Get Nailed’s youtube tutorial & thought we’d give it a try with Pams & Kin’s vibrant shades. Check out the video to see how we achieved this look – we’ve added some notes below.
Step 1: After applying a base coat, paint nails with 1 coat of Pams and Kin Karma Charmeleon – this shade is a great opaque white with little bits of rainbow glitter. Karma Charmeleon would be perfect for accents in nail art designs, winter designs & of course, on it’s own. We painted this shade as a base in case there are any holes with our next step.
Step 2: Taking Pams & Kin Manic Monday & Safety Dance - paint rough spots/blobs all over nails. You want to use a little more polish then you typically would so you have more to move around. Using a toothpick, swirl the polishes around – this is the time to let your inner artist out!
Step 3: We love this nail art on it’s own, but we fell in love with Pams and Kin Grillz (best name) and wanted to add some glitter. There is always room for glitter! We used the toothpick to place the gold glitters scattered throughout the design. Grillz is packed with gold halo hexagon glitters – these girls know how to do glitter. Once you have everything where you’d like – seal in your design with a top coat!
It’s always great to find independent brands that make quality product – visit Pams and Kin’s Etsy & follow them on Twitter & Facebook (they always have sales)! We really love how these turn out, there are so many possibilites with this design. What do you think of our dry marble – would you try it out? Let us know what you think!
