NAIL ART TUTORIAL: ITTY BITTY PRETTY
Florals, we wish we knew how to quit you. We can’t get enough of blooming nail art, today’s post was inspired by one of our major blog crushes Mr.Candiipants ’Little Babies’ – how cute are these little guys? We love the colours she used & wanted to try the design ourselves with some brighter shades for the Summer.
It is 1/2 of PYP’s birthday, so these are her official birthday flower print nails! Happy Birthday Jenny!
Step 1: After applying a base coat, paint nails with 2 coats of Misa – Pay Days are Good Days. We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again, this is one of the best base shades in our collection – time & time again we always reach for this shade.
Step 2: Using a dotting tool & some of your favourite shades loosely dot 5 spots to create a flower like shape – we love how Mr.Candiipants didn’t make them all connect in a perfect pattern, but varied the design with spacing. We used a colour palette inspired by the Valentino Resort 2013 collection (see here) = Essie – Fiji, Sinful Colors – Why Not, Orly – Green Apple, Essie – Off The Shoulder & OPI – Fiercely Fiona.
Step 3: Lastly, using OPI - Onyx & small nail art brush paint connecting dots/line for your flowers to act as the middle of the flower. Again, variation makes this design look complete. Don’t forget to seal in your design with a good top coat, we recommend Seche Vite.
Everyone follow our current blog crush Mr.Candiipants & check for her YouTube tutorials (her last floral was amazing!). What do you think of our little birthday flower nail art design? Let us know on Twitter & Facebook! Have a great start to the week everyone
