NAIL ART TUTORIAL: RACHEL ROY RESORT 2013

The Rachel Roy Resort 2013 collection was all about bold colours & playful prints. We fell in love with this dress – a playful take on a housewife-ish cut & decided it would be in the inspiration for our next tutorial!

Step 1: After applying a base coat (we use CND – Toughen Up) paint nails 2 coats of China Glaze – White on White for a nice clean base to begin.

Step 2: Begin with your lighter shades, as the darker ones are harder to layer etc (Essie – Chinchilly, China Glaze – For Audrey) We pulled shapes from the dress & mimicked them onto the nail.

Step 3: Continue Step 2 adding your darker shades, as well as your accent shades (China Glaze – Happy Go Lucky, AA – Passport Blue, Orly – Green Apple & Chanel – April). Note the little designs in the dress you can add that complete the look. Don’t forget to seal in your design with a top coat!
