SWATCH REVIEW/TUTORIAL: OPI – PINK OF HEARTS 2012

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, this year marks the 6th edition of OPI’s limited edition Pink of Hearts collection. OPI’s limited edition duo is made to create awareness and spread knowledge about breast cancer. OPI will donate $25,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, as well as $5,000 to Rethink Breast Cancer here in Canada in 2012! Each bottle sports the pink ribbon cap in honour of Breast Cancer. Team PYP wanted to create a design using the two shades & support the cause.

Step 1: We wanted to use both shades in a simple design that really shows off the pretty pink colours. We used You Glitter Be Good To Be as a base for the design. This pink-coloured glitter is packed with micro and macro round glitters. To fully cover the nail we applied 3-4 coats.

Step 2: Using a small nail art brush & OPI – I Think In Pink, a jeally pastel pink shade, we created small tiny hearts scattered across the nails. Start with one side of the heart, creating a ball at the top and dragging it to the centre. Repeat this process on the other side & join together.

Step 3: Don’t forget to seal in your design (& all that glitter!) with a quality top coat!
