NAIL ART TUTORIAL: SHESWAI FALL
Hello Everyone – hope you’re all having a great week so far. It is World Mastercard Fashion Week here in Toronto & we’ll be backstage at your favourite shows checking out the makeup & nail designs — don’t forget to follow us on Twitter & Instagram to see all the behind-the-scenes photos! We also wanted to say thank you to our readers/followers/etc we recently reached 5,000 followers on instagram
Today’s post features one of our favourite brands. We have described our love for LA based brand Sheswai in the past (see: here!). Their polish is “modern glamour with a woodsy feel” & the new Fall line up fits right in!
Step 1: After applying a base coat, we began painting our nails with Rootsy. This polish is described as a rich caramel pumpkin shade of the earth. This shade is a perfect for October & reminds us of Thanksgiving pumpkin pie! This colour applied evenly with just two coats, with great, smooth full coverage. We really liked this shade, a little richer feel to a neutral tone.

Step 2: We used Winesnob, a perfectly named shade that is a deep, dark blueberry burgundy for our accent colour. We wanted to design a fall/leafy/earthy design to go with the brand. We started by creating a 5-point rounded leaf top scattered across each nail at random.

Step 3: We finished up the design with polka dot stems, and a few more polka dots that run along the same line of the design to make it feel more full. Don’t forget to seal in your design with a top coat!
We love both these shades, Winesnob is going to be a big winner for us for Fall/Winter with the oxblood colour craze! Tell us what you think of today’s design
Sheswai lacquer can be purchased directly on their site here for $16.00 each. Follow them on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram to see all the things they’re up to! What colour will you be wearing for Fall – Rootsy or Winesnob?
