SWATCH REVIEW: AZATURE BLACK DIAMOND

IMG_9961

Shine bright like a diamond. Sadly, we did NOT receive the $250,000 bottle but we couldn’t wait to try out the much talked about Azature Black Diamond nail polish. Azature is a fine jewellery designer based out of Los Angeles. The original $250,000 version is infused with 267 carats of black diamonds – hands down the craziest nail polish news we’ve ever received in our inbox. The Chanel Holographic Ebay doesn’t seem so bad now does it?

“The black diamond is the ultimate fine jewel. Its combination of beauty, mystery, and sophistication makes it a timeless luxury. One day I thought, ‘why not showcase this style on nails?’ So I developed a Black Diamond Nail Polish with the same attention and quality as my jewelry, in order to preserve the elegance of the black diamond. I am thrilled to offer this new twist on fine-jewelry!”

The budget-friendly version is $25, a much more reasonable price point. The polish arrived in a cute leather satchel & the bottle was cut like a diamond – we love this bottle shape!

The polish was a tad thinner than we had anticipated. The polish was a deep grey jelly with silver & black glitters infused through out. We needed 4 coats for full coverage. We think it might look better with one coat of a black polish underneath. The polish was extremely smooth & applied evenly, which isn’t always the case with so much glitter!

We wanted to jazz up the polish so we added even more sparkle. We recently purchased a heap of nail studs & added some silver, gold & black circle studs scattered across the nail.

Azature Black Diamond is currently sold at Ron Robinson for $25 USD and ronrobinson.com worldwide.

I’d be willing to try the $25 version. I am curious as to what you would do with the $250,000 brand. I would assume for that price, the nail polish wouldn’t chip? Also, what would you do with it when it was time for a new color? Just throw the diamonds away? Very interesting creation and investment.

I really love that design. Before adding the crystals to it, it looked cute, but not amazing. Your additions really make it standout, and it’s perfect for a glam night out with the girls!

  3. pretty cool although disappointing that it’s so sheer – but i guess..more diamond like? still super nice though!

reminds me of the snakeskin pedicure or the iced manicure. so much money for something you will probably destroy trying to text or put shoes on 20 mins after you have it done. haha
