NAIL ART TUTORIAL: YULE LOG
It’s official, Christmas is only 2 weeks away! Where does the time go? We wanted to fit in as many holiday nail art tutorials as we can over till the big day. Today’s tutorial is inspired by the Christmas yule log – a delicious chocolate dessert with garnish on top.
Step 1: After applying a base coat, paint nails two coats of OPI – Suzi Loves Cowboys. When you buy a chocolate brown you never think you’ll use it much, but we use this shade all the time for nail art designs.
Step 2: Using a larger dotting tool, dot 3-4 polka dots 1/3 down from the tip of your nail using OPI – Alpine Snow.
Step 3: Now, with your favourite nail art brush, connect the dots to create a drip like pattern as your yummy icing. Fill in the top part of your nail using the brush from the bottle.
Step 4: Last but not least, use a small dotting tool to place 3 holly berries just under the tip of your nail. We used Essie – She’s Pampered, a perfect holiday red. Don’t forget to seal in your design with a top coat!
This nail art is fairly easy and good for beginners! Yule log nail art is a cute design that’s different from more of the common ones. You can add to this design by painting holly leaves, or using red nail gems for the berries.
