NAIL ART TUTORIAL: ANDY WARHOL X NARS
We received the NARS Andy Warhol Photo Booth nail polish gift set & couldn’t wait to play around with the polishes! Such a fun collaboration! The set features 4 polish shades: Back Room - a creme, shiny black, Soup Can – a poppy red shade, Chelsea Girls - an innocent, flesh-toned beige & Silver Factory - aluminum. All nail polishes fun additions to any nail polish addicts collection.
We decided to try a little tutorial incorporating all shades. Instructions below
Step 1: After applying base coat, we recently switched to Nails Inc – Kensington Caviar base coat, paint nails with two coats of Chelsea Girls. We LOVE nudes, so this was obviously a stand-out for us.
Step 2: Using nail tape or some scotch tape, section off a triangle at the base of each nail. Paint the free nail in the bright red, Soup Can.
Step 3: Pull off the nail tape in a quick motion creating straight & even lines. Take a nail striper brush & outline the triangle shape with Back Room. Continue using Back Room to create a houndstooth pattern on the rest of the bright red background. Full tutorial here.
Step 4: Using a dotting tool, line the inner triangle with Silver Factory. Don’t forget to seal in your design with a top coat!
What do you think of the NARS Andy Warhol polish? Have you picked up any? We would love to hear from you on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!
Also, PYP is changing things up a little bit. Stayed tuned this weekend
