NAIL ART TUTORIAL: PIZZA PARTY
Pizza pizza pizza party. Pizza, hands down our absolute favourite food. We actually don’t know why it took us so long to do a pizza tutorial. Lo and behold, nail art that’s good enough to eat!
Step 1: Paint nails with a base coat, we recently started using Nails Inc. – Kensington Caviar. Once your base coat has dried, polish nails with 2 coats of OPI – A Grape Fit. This classic purple shade is the perfect ‘medium purple’ – not too light, not too dark.
Step 2: Using China Glaze – Papaya Punch paint isosceles triangles scattered across your nails. This will be the beginning of the cheese base.
Step 3: Now, in a messy like fashion paint the top layer of cheese with American Apparel – Summer Peach over top of the original triangles. This will create the look of marbled cheese. Mmmm.
Step 4: Using a small dotting tool, dot 2-3 pepperonis in Bourjois – Rogue Casino. This poppy red shade fits perfects with our muted cheese base.
Step 5: We wanted to make this design have a little more dimension, so we added black microbeads (caviar beads) as tiny olives. Cute right?
Step 6: We felt the tiny pizzas need a little more colour so we added green peppers in China Glaze – Holly-Day using a thin nail art brush. Finally, we added pizza crust using a darker nude – Avon – Naked Truth. Don’t forget to seal in your design with a top coat!
How cute are these tiny pizzas? Are you a pizza lover – would you try today’s design? Let us know your thoughts on our Pizza Party tutorial on Twitter and Facebook!
